As you know, our girls are incredibly talented whether it be in academics, sports, acting or singing! This November, we’re hosting our seventh annual Holy Child Idol competition. We have a total of ten contestants from all grade levels who are excited to share their talent with their school community. The weeks leading up to HC Idol are filled with a lot of excitement and joy. Each contestant gets a staff member assigned who serves as their coach to help them prepare for the big day. Contestants and their coaches meet multiple times a week to practice, vocals, stage presence, and deliverance.
4th grader Hannah is the only contestant representing CMS class of 2024, and she is excited to blow the judges out of the water. “I’m really excited to sing When you believe by Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. My trick is to move and be fearless! Oh and my other trick is to always pick old music,” says Hannah. She’s been practicing multiple times a week with her coach to ensure that she will perform her best at HC Idol. We are all very impressed with her fearlessness and her love for singing, “I’ve always liked music, I love to sing and dance and I just do it because it’s fun for me. I don’t do it for money, I do it because I’m passionate about it.”
It takes a lot of courage, confidence, and zeal to get up on a stage and perform in front of a huge crowd. We are so proud of all of our HC Idol contestants and cannot wait to celebrate their courage on November 27!
