Camp Holy Child

Each summer, all students entering the sixth, seventh and eighth grades spend several weeks together at Camp Holy Child on Lake Placid. For many, it is their first time away from home and first extended stay in the country. Sports, swimming, natural science, arts and crafts, creative writing, reading and math workshops, and just plain fun make the weeks fly by. Teachers and graduates return as junior and senior counselors, serving as role models for the younger girls and reinforcing their connection to the Center.

Outside of the traditional academic setting and away from the pressures of family and the city streets, camp offers yet another opportunity for our girls to be their best selves. Whether that means passing the deep-water swimming test, correctly identifying the flora and fauna of the Adirondack Mountains or telling a bone-chilling ghost story around the campfire, our girls thrive in this tranquil environment.

Camp Holy Child is operated with the generous partnership of the Julian Reiss Foundation.
